H+H extends the logistics at a food manufacturer in Hungary

Contract announcement, July 2012. The Austrian company Salomon Automation GmbH has been given responsibility as General Contractor for extending the high-bay store of Gyermely, a noted operator in Hungary’s food manufacturing industry. H+H Herrmann + Hieber, which supplied he conveyor technology for the store in 2003, has been entrusted again to carry out the extension work now required.

The increased volumes resulting from capacity enlargements at Gyermely have now made it necessary to carry out further extensions. Following substantial extension work already carried out by H+H about a year ago, the existing equipment in the goods reception area now has to be partially modified and redesigned.

To avoid interfering with production while this work is in progress, the existing and newly installed conveyor technology must be linked up within a tight time framework. This demands precise planning and reliable commissioning of every component of the plant. The work should be completed at the beginning of December this year.
