The company Rico, which among paper and cardboard box manufacturers now has gained with its products a reputation comparable to that of H+H in the aluminium industry, was founded in 1996 by Juan Rico. The company has made a name for itself with consultancy, planning and design, marketing and servicing of plant in the field of paper and cardboard equipment. Rico’s area of work mainly includes the core components of the branch as stand-alone systems, and to a lesser extent supplementary equipment for transport, handling and storage.
The periphery of a complex plant, with conveyor and handling systems including their controls and the IT level, is the strength of H+H. For example, high-performance process cranes (automatic cranes) for the flexible transport of heavy loads such as those often encountered in the paper and cardboard processing industry, are among the particular specialisations of H+H.
From that standpoint a collaboration between the two partners makes good sense: Rico gains access to the market-leading know-how of H+H in the heavy load logistics sector and will in future be able to offer solutions complete in themselves. H+H gains access to a sector of work in which its logistical systems can be used with every promise of success. At present, as their first major joint project the two companies are working on a packaging plant for several pallet types at a cardboard box manufacturer.
